John Riconda's BiographyJOHN RICONDA Mr. Riconda is a graduate of St. John's University and Cardozo Law School. He has been practicing in Valley Stream for the last twenty years. While emphasizing real estate matters and personal injury cases, he has always found time to address the needs and concerns of our clients. Concern for detail while focused on the ultimate goal has made Mr. Riconda respected member of the profession and a good neighbor.
Mr. Riconda is a life long resident of Valley Stream and has participated in several civic activities to protect and preserve the character of Valley Stream. He maintains memberships in the Nassau County Bar Association and New York State Lawyers Association. Mr. Riconda is admitted to practice law before all the Courts of the State of New York.
Michael T. Sullivan Biography
Partner in various mid-sized and small New York City law firms from 1977 to 1997, specializing in complex litigations (contracts, commercial, securities, and white-collar criminal) and corporate law. Counsel to the Law Offices of John Riconda, P.C. from 1999 to date.
Successfully handled numerous high-dollar litigation matters in New York and in various other locations. Cited in written federal court opinions for the "skill and vigor" of presentation (per Sweet, J., S.D.N.Y.) and for "courtesy and professionalism" (per Motley, C.J., S.D.N.Y.).
Devoted a substantial portion of legal career to established (civil rights work in Mississippi, e.g.) and ad hoc pro bono projects.
Democratic candidate for the United States House of Representatives in 1986 for the 5th Congressional District, New York; cross-endorsed by the Liberal and Right to Life parties. Cum laude graduate from college (St. Bonaventure University, 1966) and from law school (St. John's University, 1972). Author of three legal handbooks (constitutional law, corporations and criminal practice).
Married 40+ years to Katherine M. Sullivan, Esq., Dean of Student Affairs (ret.), St. John's University School of Law - two grown children.
Edward J. Garnett, Jr. Biography
EDWARD J. GARNETT, JR., is celebrating the 30th Anniversary of his admission to the New York State Bar. For the past seventeen years he has been a member of the Law Firm of Riconda & Garnett. As a founding member of the firm he has experienced the growth of the firm from a shared desk to a well respected state of the art firm with attorneys capable of servicing hundreds of clients.
While we concentrate in negligence and medical malpractice the firm addresses clients needs in all aspects of the profession. The father of four, Mr. Garnett has dedicated his free time the last fifteen years to youth basketball and soccer.
He maintains memberships in the Nassau County Bar Association and New York State Lawyers Association. Mr. Garnett is admitted to practice law before all the Courts of the State of New York, as well as The United States District Courts for the Southern & Eastern Districts; United States Court of Appeals; Supreme Court of the United States; United States Court of Federal Claims and the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
